Sworn and Non-sworn Translation
Sworn Translation
This is performed by a Sworn Public Translator — a professional who is appointed and authorized by the Commercial Registry of the State.
This type of translation carries public faith throughout the national territory and is recognized by most foreign countries, being required for official use with public and private institutions.
Non-sworn Translation (simple)
This is a faithful and accurate translation of the original text but does not have legal status — it is not printed on translator letterhead nor officially signed.
It is recommended for documents for personal, academic, or corporate use that do not require official certification.
